How to merge PDF files online

  1. Add two or more PDF files. You can choose several files at once or add more later.
  2. Arrange the PDFs. Drag files on desktop or use the up/down buttons on mobile to set the final page order.
  3. Select Merge PDF. PraxTools copies the pages from each source document in the order shown.
  4. Download the combined PDF. Open it once and verify the page order before sharing or deleting the originals.

Combine PDFs without changing the source files

The merger creates a new PDF. It does not overwrite your original documents. Page dimensions and orientation are preserved from the source PDFs, so mixed A4, Letter, portrait and landscape pages can remain different inside the final document.

Useful ways to use a PDF merger

You can join invoices, scanned pages, reports, application documents, statements, chapters or other PDFs that need to be delivered as one file. If you only need selected pages from a large document, use Split PDF or Extract PDF Pages first.

Merge PDF FAQ

How many PDF files can I merge?

The practical limit depends on the size and page count of the PDFs and the available memory in your browser or device. For very large jobs, merging smaller batches can be more reliable.

Can I change the order before merging?

Yes. Drag files on desktop, or use the up and down controls beside each file. The top file is merged first.

Does merging reduce PDF quality?

This tool copies PDF pages into a new document rather than converting every page to an image, so normal page quality is preserved. Some advanced PDF features may behave differently after processing.

Why can an encrypted PDF fail?

Password-protected or encrypted PDFs may require access that the browser-side library cannot provide. Use an unlocked copy that you are authorized to process.
