Many PraxTools tools work entirely in your browser, so your file or input stays on your own device. Tools that need heavier processing, such as Image to PDF and the OCR tools, use our server, and each tool page explains how it handles your data. Automatic tools can make mistakes. OCR may misread blurry text, converters can change formatting, and calculators give estimates from the numbers you enter. Is PraxTools free to use?
Yes. The tools are free, and you do not need to create an account. To cover hosting costs the site may show advertising, which is kept separate from tool results.
Do I need to install software?
No. The tools run in a modern browser on Android, iPhone, tablets and computers.
Are my files safe?
Many tools process files in your browser, while OCR and some conversions use our server. Each tool page says which applies, and the Privacy Policy explains how files are handled. Do not upload highly sensitive documents unless you are comfortable with how that tool works.
Which tool should I use to make a PDF smaller?
Use Compress PDF. For photos that must stay under a limit such as 50 KB or 200 KB, use the Exact KB Image Compressor.
Can I convert a photo of a table into Excel?
Yes. Image to Excel reads the text and rebuilds rows and columns, and shows a review screen so you can correct mistakes before downloading.
